Toni Turns Three!

Toni Turns Three!
Toni parker

Today marks my third year working at Diamond Public Relations and I must say, it’s been quite an awesome ride! It feels like time has gone by so fast because we’ve done so much since I started, like bringing on new clients, doubling in size, opening a west coast office, leading volunteer initiatives like #DPRCares, and much, much more. When I think back to arriving on my first day and not really knowing what to expect, I realize that the best part of this experience has been the opportunity to learn from whom I truly believe are the best in the business!

Since I’m celebrating three years, on the third day of the third month, I thought it would only make sense to share three things that I’ve learned since joining the DPR team!

1.) It’s important to never stop learning.

Since social and digital is the name of my game, I always try to keep up with the constantly changing media landscape. It seems like every week, there’s a new trend or  platform so it’s crucial that I stay on top of my game so I can provide the best services for our clients. Because this is equally important to us as a company, I’ve been very fortunate to be able to attend conferences like the Ragan conference in Chicago, SXSW in Austin, and attend seminars ranging in topics from Periscope to Snapchat and everything in between. I’ve learned that when you keep learning, you’ll be a step ahead of your competitors — and who doesn’t love a little competition?

2.) When you work hard, you can play hard.

One of the many things I love about our company culture is that we celebrate our hard work and big wins. Things like our office gong (for big hits), team outings, spring break break trips, etc., are all fun ways to celebrate the hard work we put in every day. I guess it’s true what they say, time flies when you’re having fun!

3.) You can do anything when you have a great team.

Prior to Diamond PR, I had never worked in an environment where all the employees are encouraged to be our true selves, whether we’re dolphins, dingos, pandas or giraffes (read more about our spirit animals here). Everyone’s personality brings something different to the table. We’re constantly throwing around ideas with each other, creating new ways to do things, sharing our personal experiences, and pushing each other to be the best versions of ourselves and for me, that’s something to celebrate!

Cheers to three years!

When she’s not chasing around her english bulldog or capturing instagrammable moments in her neighborhood of downtown Miami, you can might catch this island girl at the beach with her toes in the sand and a spicy cocktail in hand.
