EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR: LISA SCHWARTZ // 6 MARKS THE SPOT

EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR: LISA SCHWARTZ // 6 MARKS THE SPOT
Veronica Pena

We love Lisa yes we do, we love Lisa how about you? Lisa has been in the PR game for quite a while, but she hit the 6 year mark this week as a Diamond PR member.

Those who know Lisa can say that she brings the Zen to our office — which, with how busy things can get around here, is a much needed energy to keep our fiery souls balanced! She’s a PR rockstar, admirable to say the least.

With that said, I’d like to dedicate this post to one of our favorite leaders, co-worker, and most importantly, friend!! I’m not the only one who thinks so either…. I’ve gathered commentary from a handful of the team who have a lot to say about why they love Lisa, and their favorite memories with her.

  • I’ll start with mine…. The thing I love about Lisa is that she makes it a point to be sweet and friendly with every single co-worker here. Being new in an office can be a bit intimidating, and Lisa made me feel right at home from day one. She’s so much a friend, that I’ll always remember playing the “How Well Do You Know Your Co-Workers?” game with everyone from the office in a Las Vegas extravagant dinner (because that’s how we do) — where everyone was given a list of personal facts, where they then had to guess the correct co-worker to each fact — and Lisa guessed an impressive number of facts and took the game home! Proving my point that she takes the time to make a connection with every single person in this office. Love laughing with you everyday Lis! – Veronica
  • I have so many memories with Lisa that weekly FB pops up and reminds me “you have memories with Lisa Schwartz.” She told me the same thing.  – Jody Diamond
  • One of my favorite times with Lisa was our trip to London for WTM… a lot of memories from that trip, and even though we ended up working working on an RFP in to all hours of the morning and my luggage didn’t arrive until the last day of the trip, we had fun; I really enjoyed spending that time with her living in our little London flat. – Kara Rosner
  • There are too many memories over the last five (almost six!) years to pick just one. Serving (and sipping) spiked lemonade and eating hot dogs (shh, don’t tell) all in the name of charity is up there. TBEX in Cancun (that’s all I’ll say). Lis’ 30th birthday. Mine. Multiple DPR holiday parties…and the stories that come with. I could go on… But as they say, first impressions are forever, and I’ll always remember the first time I met Lisa in sunny Curacao back in 2012. It was my first press trip (as a writer) and I had no idea what to expect. We explored, painted Chichis, ate our weight in food (because press trips)…. and, she not only convinced me to snorkel with barracudas (I’m terrified of them), but she also swam beside me to make sure I was comfortable (or in my mind that I didn’t get eaten). To me that spoke volumes about who she is as a person and a travel PR pro — friendly, positive, gracious, easygoing and encouraging — as much (if not more) today than yesterday. – Luisana
  • One of my favorite memories with Lisa was my first Diamond PR press trip.  Lisa showed me the ropes as we explored beautiful St. Kitts with a group of bloggers and influencers and I learned all about St. Kitts Marriott Resort. So much fun and great to have Lisa to guide me! – Sasha
  • My favorite memory with Lisa was when we led a press trip to Hedonism II and got a private, interactive performance by a group of male entertainers called the Divine Men of Choice. It was a very divine experience indeed.  – Toni
  • Favorite Memory – Hanging out on Hollywood Beach and making a casual stop at the Taco Spot – who knew it would become one our our favorite places to catch up and indulge in a plate of chips & guac? What I love about Lisa – Her general outlook on life is so positive. As a person who often describes themselves as a “realist,” I value Lisa’s upbeat, “things will happen as they’re supposed to happen” attitude. She reminds me on a monthly basis of what’s important and can always drop some big sister type of inspo when I need it most.  – Michelle
  • No matter what I go to Lisa stressed out about, she always has a way of making it seem like the smallest thing in the world. Her good vibes and positive energy are appreciated DAILY. – Alex
  • My favorite times with Lisa are when she visits our LA office. Over the last year, she has become my mentor/big sister/friend/ and overall someone that I look forward to spending time with. I didn’t know it was possible to have a personal and professional relationship with a boss until I met her. I love how she cracks the whip and can get down to business yet will send me memes to lift my spirits when needed. She is my ultimate #GirlBossInspo.  – Priscilla
  • One of the things I love most about Lisa is the overwhelmingly positive energy she has in and out of the office! From dancing in her element at the Vegas Britney concert to killing it in workout classes to being a powerhouse PR gal, she has a vivacious spirit we can look up to and enjoy being around.  – Kari
  • She is my Canadian Princess, I have been fortunate enough to travel with her and I will not change that for anything. Canadian National, California Skin, Miami spirit, all heart of hearts. – Gato
  • Lis, your positive vibes, laid-back attitude and shoes are GOALS. Congrats on your six years doll, YOU GET A SHOT OF CAFECITO! – Maria
  • I haven’t really spent a lot of time working with Lisa, but I have always enjoyed her positive vibe online. I really enjoy her inspirational posts and her easy-going ways. – Joao
  • Found my love for fit club and Barry’s thanks to Lisa! That extra push to join you guys my first few weeks at Diamond was all I needed and I owe it to Lisa! Truly appreciate it, thanks! Congrats on the six years!  – Jenice
  • Thank you for showing me your yogi ways when I was a newbie Diamond member. You truly know how to make someone feel welcome and for that, I appreciate you! Congrats on the big SIX and much more to come. – Raphy
  • Thank you Lisa for the wonderful tea recommendations and your contagious laugh. Looking forward to continued learning from you as I’ve previously witnessed you handle all with style and grace. – Nicole
