Five months ago, I decided to take a leap of faith and join Diamond PR to pursue a longtime dream of mine of working in PR, while doing what I do best, traveling the world. My time here has proven my decision more than worth while and there are many components that have made this transition to adulthood easier than I could have ever imagined. Check out a few reasons why DPR is much more than just a 9 to 5:
Regular work hours don’t apply at Diamond. Whether we’re tackling reports or PR plans after dark or paddle boarding around the beach on summer Fridays at 2 pm, there’s never a dull moment with this crowd.
A company that embraces fitness as a lifestyle? Did I just win the jackpot?! Considering this is a group of goal-setters, I shouldn’t find it hard to believe that this team is able to rile up more than four girls twice a week to continue pushing their limits outside of the office. Whether it’s butt day at Barry’s or punching our frustrations out at The Box, this group’s got the smarts AND the looks.
#DPRCares allows for us to give back to the community in creative and fun ways. From volunteering at Lotus House, a women’s shelter in Miami dedicated to ending child and homelessness in our country, or helping a retirement home make their Christmas wish list come true, there are endless chances for the Diamond team to lend a hand. Not to mention, there’s no better reward than knowing you may have been the reason for someone’s smile.
As if I needed another reason to fall in love with every single individual at this office. My first DPR Thanksgiving will forever be hard to top. I spent this day with the most gorgeous people, inside and out, devoured all of the delicious food we brought from home… or Publix, and listened to each person explain what they are most thankful for. I said it then and I’ll say it again, I’m thankful for the rockstars that welcomed me with open arms and continuously strive to mold me into a PR guru. To many more long nights and festive holidays!
