Looking good so far, 2018!
Luisana Suegart

Feels like just yesterday I was running around the block with my suitcase after stuffing my face with grapes while counting down to 2018! And just like that…. it’s almost Valentine’s Day. As it turns out, a lot can happen in a short month and a half. Here’s a quick recap of some of our favorite media hits so far this year:

Beach bums, rejoice! Travel Channel has your guide to the six best beaches in Curacao. When’s the next flight?!

Speaking of fabulous beaches, Conde Nast Traveler included W Punta de Mita’s Chevycheria among its “Best Beachfront Restaurants and Bars in Mexico.”  (May we recommend the Ceviche de Pescado, made with the coconut and spice-infused catch of the day…)

Valentine’s Day is around the corner and love is in the air. If you’re in search of “the most romantic weekend getaways in the Americas” check out MSN’s list, featuring our very own Barnsley ResortSandpearl ResortOpal Sands Resort, and Playa Largo Resort & Spa.

If a warm spring break getaway – minus the crowds! – is what you crave, heed Afar.com’s advice and book it to Casa Palopo in Guatemala. (Need more convincing? The Quintessential Gentleman agrees.)

Speaking of the “land of eternal spring” — Guatemala, that is — USA Today has the scoop on the most Spectacular Overwater Bungalows Around the World” featuring Las Lagunas Boutique Hotel. (Howler monkeys singing in the night included.)

College grads – this one is for you! Washington Post shares deets on the Pura Vida 2018 package, a collaboration between DPR clients Tabacon Thermal Resort & Spa and El Mangroove.

One of our favorite stories of the year so far? Eric Barton’s travel diary through San Juan, Puerto Rico in Indulge Magazine, featuring the San Juan Marriott Resort. Read the story here, then go book your flight. “La Isla del Encanto” is waiting.

Because everyone loves a good chef (and food tour), Incentive Magazine shares the best “Chef-Led Tours for Hungry Groups” with a spotlight on the Renaissance TuscanyIl Salviatino and JW Marriott Cusco.

Recapping one of my favorite trips of all time, Amanda Fletcher rediscovers a sense of wonder in Argentina, as published on OCRegister.com (and Coast Magazine – grab a copy, west coasters!).

Building on the SLS Baha Mar buzz, Food & Wine has the scoop on what’s new at this culinary paradise capital of the Caribbean. Read all about it here. Eater Miami had a little something to say about it too – read here.

On any given day, you might find Luisana trekking the hills of Machu Picchu, sipping tequila in Cancun or hand-rolling tortillas in Guatemala. When she's not busy taking Latin America by storm, Lu can be found at home whipping up something good in the kitchen and snuggling with Maggie, everyone's favorite Frenchie
